Beach Premier Year Round Program
Beach Premier offers field hockey instruction for committed athletes grades 6th-12th. Our aim is to become a pre-eminent club in elite hockey, a national leader in our approach to the game and in the results we achieve. We are dedicated to the continuous growth and evolution of field hockey in Virginia.
Our Mission
Achieving our vision will require the collective efforts of the local field hockey community. This community includes the parents, local coaches, business community, and many volunteers within the Beach Premier program. All members of the community have a part to play.
Beach Premier’s mission will be:
"To encourage, promote, develop and administer hockey at all levels in order to maintain Beach Premier field hockey as a national club leader. This will be done through managing Beach Premier programs and maximizing participation, enjoyment."
Our Formation
Beach Premier field hockey exists to provide Virginia players with the opportunity to play hockey from junior levels through elite competition, including the National level showcase. It is responsible for delivering these benefits to Beach Premier field hockey players through its winter, spring, summer, and fall programs to ensure that field hockey in Virginia achieves consistent success, a strong positive public profile, and continuing player and spectator support at all levels.
Our Goals
Our club presents a training program for select athletes who aspire to the highest level in this rapidly growing sport. Various levels of training are arranged to accommodate individual students. Participation at team level is offered to those who qualify to participate in tournament play. Ambitious, qualified players also have the unique experience of playing in major tournaments all around the country.
Beach Premier will train and play outdoors from April to November each year, a period which culminates with teams participating in the National Festival, Disney Showcase and other tournaments. Indoor hockey is played from January (late) through March with participation in the Indoor National Championships.

Practice/Locations
Sessions will be held National Training Center or Salem High School. Practices are always subject to change due to field changes and / or weather related changes.
Beach Premier Attendance Policy
Athletes are required to attend sessions at the time by their group color which is assigned to them. Attendance at all sessions is expected. In order to be considered for selection to Beach Premier traveling teams, an athlete MUST attend 80% of a group sessions in addition to their continued progression of their skills. Athletes attending 50% or less of group sessions will not receive an invitation for the following year. Emergencies and extenuating circumstances will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Withdrawl and Refund Policy
No refunds are available for any reason. Athletes withdrawing due to injury and who provide signed medical documentation by the residing medical group caring for the injured athlete are eligible to enter the Beach Premier Program the following year if they meet the selection criteria. Those withdrawing without medical documentation, or for a reason other than injury, will not receive an automatic invitation back into the program. The athletes must go through the trial procedures to re-enter the program the following year. Doctor’s certificate will be required for players who are in their immediate care for medical treatment and / or emergency. No refunds will be made for missed sessions including date and location changes.
